What Causes Strep Throat With Constant Gagging Sensation?

So I have allergy problems and recently got strep throat. Both of these combine isn t a great thing because it makes it really hard to breathe since my nose is filled with mucus and throat is swollen. Because of me having trouble breathing I have to get all of this mucus out. While blowing my nose I gagged a lot but I kept holding back the vomit. It appeared strange to me that the reason I keep gagging is because of me blowing my nose. Can someone explain to me why that is and if there s a way I can prevent this from happening.

cannot say in your particular case, but generally, one would consider there mibht be an infection and antibiotics would be required. It is also quite common that people can have or develop structural problems that keep the nose stopped up. These include scarring and or inflammaiton that blocks drainage of the nose. There can be increases in the secreting cells of the nasal passages. This can be so much that the secreting cells pile up into POLYPS.

Mostly its infection and antibiotics fix it up. Steroids can be helpful if it is inflammation including the polyps.
