What Causes Sudden Delay In Menstruation?

Hi I m 29 and have a usual cycle of 28 days I m 16 days late and keep having negative test results I feel pregnant I ve been pregnant before I m bloated lost my appetite sore boobs headaches tired a lot moody for no reason and weeing more often I just want to know for definite and after reading about blood tests and home tests coming back negative even when in fact pregnant I don t know what to do I just really want to know now

Hello dear,
Understand your concern.

But sometime pregnancy kit give false result
confirm by blood HCG level/ USG that is very specific than UPT.


Following are the reason for late periods:
1. High level of stress
2. Change in life style
3. Late ovulation
4. Excessive exercise
5. Drugs: Birth control pills, thyroid medication, Excessive tea and caffeine
6. Thyroid problem
7. Hormonal imbalance:

Do regular walking and exercise.
Eat healthy diet

Also note that
Menstruation required co ordinate action of various hormone that secreted by ovary (estrogen and progesterone) and brain (FSH and LH).
If any above hormone is decreased or increased there is imbalance in menstruation.
So please do full hormonal profile : Estrogen, progestron, LH, FSH, HCG and thyroid hormone.
That help to diagnose hormonal imbalance.
After confirmation you can take treatment according So please go ahead.
