Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My granddaughter who is a very calm child, seems to be in pain and says everything hurts. She also has a high fever, is not taking fluids (though he mother is trying) and has not peed since this morning. Does this sound like a flu or something else
Understanding your concern. As per your query your grand daughter is suffering from sudden high fever which seems to be due to viral or bacterial infection. It could be due to urinary tract infection. It could be due to poor and compromised immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests redone and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take diet rich in fresh juices and fruits. Drink plenty of water and fluids. You should take anti-allergic medication along with proper course of antibiotic along with Ibuprofen. Avoid intake of any outside food. Do tepid sponging as well to lower down fever. Take multivitamins to booster immunity of body.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
