What Causes Sudden Loss Of Vision?

Sub: - Sudden Loss of Vision [Right Eye]

Respected Sir,

I, Muhammad Ashraf, a software professional working in Saudi Arabia for the past two year. I wanted to elaborate on one of the Incident that happened to me on 22nd April 2010 where I lost my sight for my right eye suddenly without any pain. I went to a nearby government hospital (Shamaisy Govt. Hospital) in Riyadh within one hour after losing my vision, Doctors did my eye checkup and reported that vision was lost due to a clot and they referred me to a private hospital (National Hospital) in Riyadh.

Results @ National Hospital

I went to a Eye Specialist at National Hospital’s who carried on some tests on my right eye and referred me to an Internal Medicine specialist. He also did some test and told me that my CHOLOSTRAL Level was higher and there was a clot in the vein that was coming to the right eye. Find attached all the reports and tests done at National Hospital. They had provided some medicine for cholesterol.

Results @ Lahore Eye Hospital

After one week of this incident, I went Pakistan and consulted with Eye Specialist at Lahore Medicare Eye Center, Pakistan). He referred me to Punjab Cardiology for heart checkup.

Results @ Punjab Cardiology Hospital

Then I consulted a Heart Specialist and Head of Department for Cardiology at Punjab Cardiology Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan. He had done some test related to heart and provided his findings and he mentioned that there is no issue with the heart.

Results @ Shifa international Hospital

Later on some people referred me to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad which is one of the biggest hospital in Pakistan. I had consulted an Eye Specialist and she did treatment of my eye after completing the Eye’s MRI. She had given me some medicines and I found an improvement of about 5% in my vision, where I can see blurred image but still 95% vision is not recovered. She told me that there will not be any more improvement in my vision and referred me to a Heart Specialist inside the same hospital, he performed some test and told me that my Blood was THICK and due to which there was increase in Cholesterol level which caused the CLOT.

Until now all the doctors those I consulted did not provide hope of recovery of my Vision except if it recovers naturally. I request you to go thru my reports and test performed during my course and provide some needful advise for the recovery of my Vision back.

Thanks,

Regard,

Muhammad Ashraf
