What Causes Sudden Rise In BP And Shrunken Kidneys At The Age Of 87?

I was looking at this page because an elderly lady and I were looking at the blood pressure that she is monitoring as requested by her doctor and she has type 2 diabetes and has until recently been On a larger does of high blood pressure meds and her pressure seems to be dropping? She is almost 87 and has an ultrasound that shows her kidneys have shrunken

Hi,

1. You are reporting for a health problems of a 87 years old lady with a history of high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.

2. Diabetes can cause kidney damages, that would be a possible cause to her shrunken kidneys.

3. Have a blood pressure that is dropping is due to use of anti-hypertensive drugs in large dose.

I advise to keep monitoring her bp, record the results to pass them to her doctor.
