Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sudden Slurred Speech And Immobility In The Right Arm?
my son is 39 and he just suffered from a slight loss of control over his right arm and had slurred speech. He could not complete a thought pattern and his thoughts were all jumbled. High levels of anxiety, This lasted approx. on hour. Gradually he came back to normal, but I am worried. Any ideas?
The information you provided suggests a nervous system pathology that might be: migraine headache, seizure, brain tumour, stroke, multiple sclerosis etc.Without proper physical examination and imaging methods, it is not wise to guess or recommend anything other than a ER visit and consultation with a Neurologist in order to rule out any serious condition.
Also, if the symptoms reappear or you notice anything suspicious, you should visit the nearest ER service in order to properly treat the underlying condition.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aleksandar Dimovski,
