Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sudden swelling in mouth and face while treating sinusitis . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons colds ,flu , infection (bacterial or viral ) allergies and deviated septum . Sometimes such type of symptoms like swelling of mouth can also occur due to fungal infection or eating too hot food also .

I would suggest you to eat light and non spicy , take antacid after every meal and take antacid after every meal , because symptoms can also occur due to acid reflux. Also do warm saline rinses and take steam thrice a day to relieve the congestion . If condition doesn't get well then consult ENT specialist again .

Doctor may order CT scan , allergy test and blood test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) because sometimes residual infection remain even after surgery . Doctor may also refer you to oral pathologist for condition like stomatitis .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
