Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have sudden swellin on my right fore arm and it is painful. the swelling is only on one side of my right hand and runs to my ring finger, i have no bites or rash. and i do not recall hitting my arm against anything so its def nothing to do with my bone. what is wrong?
Sudden swelling along inner arm is generally caused due to extra pressure on axilla- like sleeping with the arm on the back of a chair or thoracic outlet syndrome. Sometimes it is associated with tingling and numbness in the affected area. Wait for a few days and if it does not improve, then please go for orthopedic consultation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
Orthopedic Surgeon
