What Causes Sudden Vomiting At Night Followed By Green Stools?
a couple nights ago my daughter got violently sick out of no where and was throwing up all night. the next day she seemed fine & we gave her pedialyte & slowly got her on formula. She is still in a happy mood but at times seems like her tummy hurts and this morning had green stool with white particles in it. what could that be?
Green stool with while particles, pain in abdomen and vomiting in your daughter indicate that there is an intestinal infection and thus I would advise you the following:
- Take her to the Pediatrician for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations of blood and stool. - A course of an antibiotic active against intestinal infection may be needed. - Continue Peditral if there is no vomiting. - Follow the instruction given by the Doctor. - Give boiled and cooled water.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
