What Causes Sudden Weight Loss And Extreme Fatigue?
My 72 year old husband has had sudden weight loss, some signs of fatigue. He has been tested for cancer, heart disease, breathing problems and gastrointestinal problems and thyroid problems-also celiac disease He had had CT scans PET stand and none of the UCLA doctors can find out what is wrong. He has lost 24 lbs since May Where do we go next?

Weight loss can result from a decrease in body fluid, muscle mass, or fat. Other causes of weight loss include, but are not limited to, cancer, viral infection (such as CMV or HIV), gastroenteritis, parasite infection, depression, bowel diseases, and overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).
