What Causes Swelling And Pain In Nipples?
My 17 year old son came home after a day at the beach and his left nipple is very swollen and sore to touch. Could he have been bit by something and how can we relieve the pain? You can feel a lump under the nipple. WHen he was younger he did have swollen nipples but they went away.

Thanks for query.
Your son has swelling of the nipple due to infection.
Give him antibiotic like Doxicycline along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .
Clean the area with microbial solution Betadine twice daily.
This should get cured within a week.
