Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have gynecomastia since i was a kid and i haven't undergone any treatment for that. and today i noticed that my right nipple is bigger than my left one. there is no pain or any different feeling from what i used to feel before. in fact i think don't even know whether my right nipple was bigger than the other one all the time or not. what can be the reasons for that? i'm very scared.please reply soon. and also mention some websites where i can read and obtain information about this and also view some videos about that. i will be very grateful to you if you reply to me sooner. thank you in advance
Don’t be scared but let a local doctor check it. Just to be on the safe side. Don’t be ashamed! More men have gynecomastia than you would imagine. You just don’t notice it because most hide their male breasts, which is not good when too much pressure is used like with tight garments are worn to make them 'invisible'. If they are rather big, the male equivalent of a bra might help to prevent them from becoming more 'hanging down', but please don’t hurt yourself with these things. Simply accept them as a part of you. However, the changed nipple should be shown to a local doctor! That’s important.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Yousef Abbas, General & Family Physician
