Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swelling And Stiffness In The Body After Plasma Donation?
i have slight sweling all over causeing some stiffness, when ilook up i get dizzy and i am tired after sleeping and in a bad mood. wondering if it could be a iron problem but i did donate plasma 3 days ago it made me sick for a whole day and very tired then i was better.
Blood donation can cause excessive fatigue and dizziness but swelling stiffness is not related to the plasma donation. During plasma donation around 400 ml of blood is drained and hypovolemia associated with it can cause similar symptoms.
As of now drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated to look for other causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
