What Causes Swelling In Ankles And Tingling Sensation In Toes?
My very healthy 82 year old mother just had her check up and is in perfect health. Slightly high blood pressure for which she takes meds and thyroid meds 40mg. Her problem is a swollen ankle and her toes feel funny. Looks to me both ankles are slightly swollen. She had a sonogram and there was no blood clot. What could it be.

this could be related to hypothyroidism nutritional deficiency or medicines she is taking
when blood clot is not there you need not to worry much
please take her to your GP for certain investigation like liver function test total protein test blood urea and creatinine test
ask her to keep the legs elevated by keeping pillow under the legs
