What Causes Swelling In Gums Along With A Lump On The Upper Lip?
Hi I m curious as to what this could be caused by. When I woke up this morning I realized that the gum behind one of my lower teeth was swollen and uncomfortable. A few hours later out of nowhere I felt a tingling sensation on my upper lip and within minutes I had a bump there which is still present. Could they be related? And if so what could of caused it and what can I do?
As per your complain swelling in gum on your lower teeth could have been due to some infection in the gums in that area or it can also be due to deeply infected tooth which can cause pus formation and appearance of swelling in the adjoining gums.
The tingling and swelling in upper lip can be due to the allergic reaction to some food product what you have taken recently or due to any insect bite leaving its sting in the lip causing inflammation and swelling or if you have taken some medicine for the lump in lower gum it could have been as an allergic reaction to that.
I would suggest you to take an antihistamine like allegra or benadryl to get relieved..
For the lower gums if the swelling does not subside you can consult a dentist to get evaluated for any infection in the tooth or gum and get treated accordingly..
Hope your query is solved..
