What Causes Swelling In Legs Along With Frequent Headaches And Fatigue?

My grand daughter has been having swelling in her left leg and petichiae (sp) on her upper hip and under her arm into her arm pit. Also, she is very fatigued and has frequent headaches. A few years ago she was diagnosed with MDS but has not had any symptoms. Do you think we should call her doctor?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have swelling in legs along with frequent headaches and fatigue . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like peripheral neuropathy , migraine headache, stroke , lyme disease, cervical spondylosis and vitamin B12 deficiency as you also mention in query . The symptoms can also occur due to organ failure like kidney or liver. I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor will take history , order tests like blood test , ECG and check vitals . Doctor may prescribe vitamin b 12 or may refer you to orthopedic surgeon or cardiologist if he/she find problem to be related with cervical spondolysis or stroke .
