What Causes Swelling In The Lips Along With Mouth Ulcers?
For the past few years (6 years), I am unable to take any medicine. If i consume any medicine it would instantly lead to a reaction and swelling of my lips occurs along with ulcers in my mouth. After a few days the parts of the lips would become dry and hard, like how it happens when we have an injury. This first occurred when I have taken a Pain killer, hence I have avoided taking pain killer but then the second time it occured when I consumed paracetamol as well. From then on I have avoided medication to the maximum extent possible. Doctors I have consulted generally say that I an allergic to analgesic. Could you suggest a way to treat, or which kind of specialist to refer to?

Reaction to multiple drugs is due to immune response as type I hypersensitivity mediated by IgE most likely. The root cause of the same can be multiple level most likely from deficiency of complement inhibitor or else which is responsible for hyper immune response in terms of lip swelling and other symptoms. You need to consult an expert hematologist and allergy specialist for the same to be evaluated in details and find out which medicines can be suitable for your system without causing allergic reaction after consuming it.
