I woke up this morning and my uvula was the size of my thumb... very hard to swallow, talk etc. This happened once before and was gone in a few hours. The swelling seems to be going down some now, but i m trying to find out if my being dizzy/woozy last night and today may be related?
It can be due to inflammation of uvula. Uvula inflammation can be due to some trauma like burn while having hot soup or hot food. It can be due to trauma by scratch by some fish bone or sharp items in food stuffs. It can be reduced by doing chlorhexidine mouth rinse for a week. It will be reduced in a weeks time.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
