What Causes Swelling, Tingling Sensation And Pain In The Groin Area?

My husband had carotid artery surgery on 6/7/17 he went to his Dr. yesterday 6/14/17 because he was in pain in the groin he had an infection -Dr. Prescribed -Cefadroxil -500mg but this morning he woke up with a swollen hand his nuckle is swollen and tingling and throbbing( right hand )
