What Causes Swollen Blood Vessels On The Eyes After Taking Facet Joint Injection?

I have been having problems with my neck and received 4 facet joint injections on Thursday with no relief as of yet. This morning, blood vessels around the outer sides of my eyes and on my forehead are very noticeable. I am 58 yrs old. Should I be worried?

I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.
You seem to be suffering from following possibilities-High Blood pressure post -facet steroid injections, causing swollen blood vessels on the eyes in the morning after steroid injections.
At 58 yrs age the atherosclerosis with hidden high blood pressure may shoot up causing blown up forehead and eye blood vessels(Superficial Temporal Artery/ Veins Swelling from high pressure)
Consult physician and attending Orthopedist for this complaints.
For this to verify Second opinion from another Physician and Orthopedic Surgeon is suggested,if need be.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors,till you verify with your attending doctors.
