Steroid only mask the symptom. First cause of swelling should be diagnosed. It can be inflammatory allergic or obstructed gland. It can be linked to head injury. For this type of swelling one can give cold compression. anal gesic anti inflammatory like combiflam suspension may be given. The swelling will subside.
