What Causes Swollen Lump On Gums And Swelling On Chin?

I had a sore throat Thursday and Fri, by Sat morning my right ear and jaw and teeth hurt went to DR. on Sat and she said I have an middle ear infection so put me on meds, I have swelling in chin and a red swollen lump has sprung up on my gums by a tooth that is so so tender, it has a crown on it but never had a root canal treatment, I remember chewing some REALLY HARD CHEWING GUM a day or two before I noticed any symptoms so do you think this could be possible absess tooth, I am see a dentist tomorrow?

Yes actually according to your symptoms it looks that now an abscess has been formed in the apex of your tooth, that is why you are feeling this swelling with pain.
You should visit your dentist again and get a root canal treatment done in the tooth.
