What Causes Swollen Tongue And Nasal Congestion While On Vitamin Supplements?
Hi, I have just started B complex, flaxseed and hair, skin and nail vitamins to help recover from pneumonia. My tongue now feels swollen and has teeth marks on the outside and I have a very dry, stuffy nose. Could that be rom the supplements? Thanks
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swelling of tongue along with nasal congestion and nasal dryness can be due to allergic reaction to the nutritional supplements that you are taking and there can be any of the ingredients that might cause allergic reaction..
So my suggestion to you is to consult a Physician and get yourself evaluated and a blood test can be done to rule out the cause of the symptoms.. As of now you should avoid taking the supplements as the swelling can increase if it is due to allergic reaction..
You can also take benadryl and suck ice to help in lowering down the swelling..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
