What Causes Swollen Tongue And White Patches On Lips?

Hi My 12yr old daughter came home from a school-trip yesterday.She had slightly enlarged taste-buds, achey throat-on one side and one felt like a swollen tongue on the sides Also,she had white patches on her inner bottom lip but I think they've gone today.

The first may be an internal temperature have gone and may have irritated mucosa of the oral cavity , the second can be any food that she has eaten out of the ordinary . third can come from the stomach , gastric disturbances manifested more signs in the oral cavity .
