Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain, swollen tonsils along with
fever and a
sore throat seems to be due to viral
throat infection leading to fever,
Tonsillitis and
Pharyngitis..
On the other hand Tonsil stones are calcified structures that are formed due to calcification of debris and food particles that gets accumulated over the tonsillar cryts and is one of the most common cause for
tonsillar inflammation and also
bad breath..
As it seems to be a viral infection, it will resolve once the virus will complete its cycle in human body..
As of now you can take supportive treatment to relieve the symptoms like:
1.Gargle with warm saline solution.
2.Gargle with
betadine solution by mixing in water.
3.Take
Ibuprofen +
Acetaminophen combination.
4.Chew a
Vitamin C pellet.
5. Sip on plenty of warm water.
6. Avoid spicy and chilled foods.
7.Take a soft and bland diet .
8.Do steam inhalation and use a humdifier in your room.
In case of no resolution in a week consult an ENT Expert and get evaluated..
You can also be advised removal of tonsil stones for prevention of further inflammation that is caused and exaggerated due to tonsil stones..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
