What Causes Swollen Tonsils Along With High Fever?

My daughter have tonsil swelling with fever 102 Celsius (from 30.9.16). Now tonsil swelling is dis-creased and normal position but 6.10.16 take her bath then she fallen again fever, then we go local doctor he advice some test like widal test, blood test. when he saw report he says she have typhoid but her fever not continue and not over 100 Celsius. He advice 14 nos injection for typhoid. widal report 1:160, 1:160, 1:80, 1:80,

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have symptoms of swollen tonsils along with high fever which seems to be due to bacterial infection and inflammation of tonsils. Need not to panic about it. I would suggest you to

1) Take hot milk with a pinch of turmeric boiled with it at bed time.

2) Mainatin hygiene of oral cavity.

3) Avoid spicy and rough food. Take diet rich in soft food.

4) Sip on lukewarm water and take throat lozenges.

5) Take Calpol or paracetamol for relief as well as it will relieve throat pain and take antibiotic course along with this.

5) Take anti inflammatory drugs such as Levocetirizine.

If symptoms keeps on persisting visit pediatrician once and get it examined. Maintain oral hygiene. Take proper course of antibiotics. Get blood tests done if required.
