Hello,
Thanks for query.
I have gone through your short descriptiion.
All the symptoms you have mentioned suggestive of severe
allergic reaction. We have to find out what triggered this reaction. It could be a food stuff or an antibiotic medicine.
It is a medical emergency very rarely can become life threatening.
Singulair(monteleukast) can be used in minor allergy, but it is of no use in severe allergic reaction.
Chest pain is also due to allergic reaction which can cause chesy congestion and
laryngeal edema which might have caused your
sore throat.
If you develop the symptoms again, immediately rush to your nearest medical center and get the following things done.
(1)- Minor cases can be managed by oral steroids and antiallergics drugs like pheneramine or
hydroxyzine.
(2)- Severe cases might require steroid injection.
(3)- Life threatening conditions like
anaphylaxis require adrenaline shot to safe life.
So don't hesitate to seek medical care in similar situation. Also detailed evaluation can also find out the probable allergen so that you can avoid exposure to that particular allergen in future.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
