What Causes Temporary Blindness In Half Of My Left Eye?
I noticed today that when I rise from a recline or semi-recline position, I experience temporary blindness in half of my left eye. It lasts about 5 seconds. When I close my right eye, the inner half of my left eye appears to be a pale gray. Should I be worried about this?

It seems from the history that you are having temporary loss of vision in half of the visual field involving the left eye.
This indicates transient loss of vision also called as amaurosis fugax.
This requires evaluation to find out the underlying causes and the common causes are prodromal symptom of retinal artery occlusion, vascular diseases affecting the carotid artery, as a symptom of migraine or papilledema.
