What Causes Terrible Pain In Hip?

I have had terrible pain in my hip and will be seeing a doctor tomorrow that thinks its my birsa (sp) and I want to know what it may be and is it a muscle or bone. It s been going on for a year or so and I have seen neuosurgen and more. I just want to know what this group is in the hip.

There can be many reasons for this hip pain and i can not comment without knowing your reports. I would suggest you to get MRI of the spine and hip joint to find out the cause of such pain as there are possiblity of pinch nerve in spine and also chances of ligament damage in hip joint.
