What Causes The Swelling In Front Of The Right Ear Area On The Face?

My husband has swelling in front of his right ear area on the face. The doctor put him on antibiotics but is has not helped. He has ordered a CT scan but it hasn't been done yet. There is no pain associated with it. No tooth pain. What would cause this?

thanks for your query, i have gone through your question,
the swelling in front of the ear could be because of the salivary gland infection, or stone in the salivary gland or some viral infection....consult a physician and get an ultrasound done to rule out any changes in the salivary gland...
i hope my answer will help you..
