What Causes Throat Irritation After Drinking Water?

For the past month And a half, I have noticed that every time I drink water, my throat feels tighter (like it feels smaller) it s very annoying and I want to be able to drink water normally. It s only water, or one of the main ingredients is water (such as orange squash or an ice cube). It also die at matter if it s tap water, bottled water or distilled water, all the same result. Please help me!

Hi Dear,

welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of throat irritation after drinking water which is because of increased susceptibility of getting infected due to cold water and drinks and infection travel down the respiratory tract and affected whole area and leads to granular pharyngitis.

Need not to worry. You should take combination of Sinarest along with Levocetirizine. I would suggest you to again consult your ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe proper antibiotic course. You should take chicken soup along with along with lemon tea. Take diet rich in vitamin C. Take decongestant nasal sprays containing mucinex for instant relief.
