What Causes Throat Pain With A Ulcer?

Hi Doctor.. a couple of days back i had severe throat pain and fever (around 101 degrees) the throat pain was also causing slight ear pain.. i called up my family doctor and explained the symptoms. Doctor prescribed clavam 625 and imol plus tablets.. It s been 2 days now. The fever has reduced but the throat pain is still there. i just checked my throat in a mirror and saw that there is an ulcer in my throat. Now my question is.. is it a strep throat? if yes, then can i continue taking clavam 625?

This could be strep throat. Yes, you can continue tablet clavam which your doctor has prescribed. For throat pain relief you can take analgesics like tablet Ibuprofen and local anesthetic based gargles for effective relief.
