What Causes Throbbing Pain In Upper Thigh Radiating To Calf?
I think I have pulled a muscle in my upper left thigh. I am 50 yrs old and in great shape working out 4-5 times a week on my bowflex max 5 which is a stair climber/eliptical for a year now. I really feel it getting in/out of my car or squatting down. The inner thigh doesn t hurt at all. When I do pilates and have it extended back behind me in a lunge position I can feel it. Now the pain seems to have down into my calf and somewhat throbbing. Any thoughts? It started about a week ago and has got worse. I have taken it easy on the exercising but haven t cut it out completely. Any thoughts?
Hi, From histroy it seems that you might be having Sciatica pain due to pinched nerve pressure. At this age there mightbe having some osteo-artheritis changes in lower vertebrae causing this pressure nerve symptom. Consult orthopeic surgeon and get examined. X-ray lower vertebrae will give good clue about your problem. Do back extension exercises. Ok and take care.
