What Causes Tickling In Throat Along With Productive Cough During Winters?
For the past several years (2 to 3), especially during winter when it's cold outside, my throat has a tickle as I breathe then it makes me cough and I have a white to clear mucus that gets stuck in my throat. The tickle & coughing with mucus happens all throughout the day & evening. This winter I finally recognized that the coughing started with the cold weather. The tickle seems to come on with the cold weather and it seems to be worse during the winter.

Understanding your concern. As per your query tickling in throat along with productive cough during winters is due to granular pharyngitis or upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to avoid eating and drinking acidic , spicy and hot food and beverages . Do warm saline gargles. . If condition doesn't get better in 2-3 days then consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and go for swab test. Go for sputum test as well if required and start treatment as per proper diagnosis. Sip warm water after every few minutes. Take proper course of antibiotics such as Amoxiclav along with levocetrizine. You should take steam inhalation. Get X-ray of chest done to find out cause of cough and start treatment accordingly.
