Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i've just come off accutane and i've been having hard stools with some blood (though i think that's just from an anal tear due to the hard stool) they come out more like rabbit poop. I guess it's cos the roaccutane dries everything out. Is there anything I can do to get my stools back to normal?
Hello, You are suffering from constipation with fissure or hemorrhoids. You need to take plenty of liquids and high fiber diet regularly.
Avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking and caffeine drinks. Use Benefiber or Metamucil to avoid Constipation. Use syrup Lactulose thirty ml after dinner for five days.
If symptoms not improved, then please consult your doctor so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
