What Causes Tingling Sensation And Itching In The Body?

I started a week ago with tingling skin and itching. My eyes puffed up and lymph node on side of my left ear swollen and sore. Felt like something crawling on me. The doctor gave me a two in one shot of steroids thinking that I was allergic to something. Lymph node went down and eyes went down, but, pain has finally localized to my head which itches but mostly painful with several small bumps that seem to be getting larger. Sharp shooting pains with bumps along m hair line in front. My forhead itches, but hasnot broken out. Could it be shinles?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If it did respond to steroids it most probably is allergy. I would advise you to start antihistaminics once daily for three days and you can use local steroid ointments for itching. They can do a patch test to localize the allergen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harshita
