What Causes Tingling Sensation And Stabbing Pain In The Buttock?
Hello Doctor. i have had a loss of skin pigment on the upper right lateral buttock. it started with tingling and sharp stabbing sensations about 6 months ago. since then there are now 3 spots close together with loss of pigment and dimpling and sensitivity. the first is now about 4cm, the other two are 2 - 3cm. I am a 49 year old black female.

It is possible that the lesions may be related to shingles if you have a previous history of chickenpox. This tend to cause painful lesions that are associated with tingling and other abnormal sensations.
