What Causes Tingling Sensation Around The Ribs?

First time ever for me after 75 years. Brief needle-like sensation on both sides of my ribs. It has occurred about 4 times in the past week, once each day; last only one second each time. I take one med, levothyroxin and still work out at the health club.

Hello,

Many causes for tingling sensation around the ribs but here I mentioned possible causes are

1. Intercostal nerve injury.
2. Herpes zoster.
3. pinched nerve etc.
4. Neuropathy pain.

Get it done MRI spine, ultrasound abdomen, nerve conduction study. Also, check serum electrolytes and blood sugar. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
