What Causes Tingling Sensation Behind The Knees?

I have spine disks out of place would that cause me to feel like I can t deal with the weight of my right leg? My right leg also feels like their is a water fall going from the back of my knee down with the asleep without the pins & needles. I also have problems with my ankle not staying in place I m not sure if that would have anything to do with any of the pain or weird feelings.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your clinical history is concerned, please follow like this:

1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor[Neurologist]and do an MRI scan to know present status.
2) Discuss with your treating Doctor about prescription medications like [gabapentin and Cortisone injections] for pain and inflammations.
3) Discuss with your physiotherapist for a specific exercise plan.
4) You can discuss with your Doctor about the surgical procedure if you have following symptoms like:
a) Numbness or weakness
b) Difficulty standing or walking
c) Loss of bladder or bowel control

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this:

1) Do exercise regularly. This is the most important thing you can do for your overall health as well as for your back. Pay special attention to your core muscles the muscles in your abdomen and lower back that are essential for proper posture and alignment.
2) Try to maintain proper posture when you sit. Choose a seat with good lower back support, arm rests and a swivel base. Consider placing a pillow or rolled towel in the small of your back to maintain its normal curve. Keep your knees and hips level.
3) Try to use good body mechanics. If you stand for long periods, rest one foot on a stool or small box from time to time. When you lift something heavy, let your lower extremities do the work. Move straight up and down. Keep your back straight and bend only at the knees. Hold the load close to your body. Avoid lifting and twisting simultaneously. Find a lifting partner if the object is heavy or awkward.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
