What Causes Tingling Sensation During Coughs?

HI doctor, I had a choking incident on sunday and could not breath, coughing was difficult and almost silent, I got a severe headache and all my extremities starting tingling and the pain was awful. I was on my own. I managed after a while,with lots of bending over and thrusting to expel the lozenge. Since then every time I cough I get the same tingling sensation throughout my back and limbs. Should I have it checked out by my GP?

Hello,

The whole body pain can commonly occur in viral infection case. The decongestant can be prescribed while having cough and post nasal drip induced choking in throat.

You can take vitamin C lozenges as well. The tingling could not be due to such viral infection or cough. I suggest you get investigated by serum random blood sugar estimation and serum B12 estimation for further work up.

Meanwhile you can take multivitamin tablets like Becosule.
