What Causes Tingling Sensation In Arms And Shoulders Along With Dizziness?

My daughter ( 21 years old ) experienced some tingling in her arms up to her shoulders and light headedness. My wife took her to the hospital that evening and they ran blood and urine tests but couldn t find anything. Today two days later she feels a better but has some tingling in her leg now. Just wondering what this could be ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello

Thanks for asking a question at HCM

I understand your concern and I will be glad to answer it for you.

This can be caused by many reasons,
1. Diabetes
2, Vitamin deficiency
3. Anxiety
4. Neurological problem.

For her age, and considering all the basic tests are done and are normal, I guess the diagnosis between vitamin deficiency and anxiety.

I don't suggest medications for anxiety. Rather try some relaxation methods like family get together etc.

For Vitamin defciency, I advise to take Multivitamin tablet, especially that includes Methylcobalamin [Vit B12] and Pyridoxine [B6] for a month at daily one tablet. These are good for nerves.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards
