Hi and thanks for sharing your question with us at HCM.
Tingling sensations in the hands, feet and face is listed as a rare side effect of
lovenox. Swelling of the hands and feet are more commonly experienced by patients on lovenox. Other common side effects include nausea,
diarrhea, fever and redness where the medication is injected.
Tingling sensation in the hands and feet is also a common symptom of
pregnancy. This is because the body swells as the pregnancy progresses and presses on the nerves in the wrists and feet. The other cause to consider is anemia. Many women are anemic in pregnancy - however this should have been ruled out during her hospitalization.
The tingling of the face is a vague symptom - it could be anything from
anxiety to an infection of the nerves called Bell's palsy. Bell's palsy can cause the side of the face that is infected to droop as it weakens the muscles. Other symptoms include
drooling or tearing. Even a deficiency of
B vitamins especially B12 can result in tingling - this deficiency is common among vegetarians and pregnant women. It is safe to put your wife on a vitamin b complex supplement.
I hope this helps. Take care
