Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell asleep in my recliner early this morning. I have been up since about 2pm. My right hand tingles like it is still asleep. Have a little of it in my arm now. I am 60 years old, female, overweight, but otherwise in good health. Did a full battery of heart tests a couple of years ago and everything was 100% fine. I had cholesterol problems a few years ago, but it got fine with medication. Haven t been on medication or to a doctor since Obama Care when I was forced to switch doctors.
The tingling in hand after prolong slipping in recliner chair indicate nerve compression at the axillary region most likely. Gentle massage, warm compression and rest would help to relief the instance within few hours only.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
