What Causes Tingling Sensation In Left Arm While Exercising?

When excercising on a stair stepper my left arm will tingle almost like it is going to fall asleep. I move it and it is fine but it does tingle and it happens after I have been working out for 10 minutes a so. No pain at all just tingles. What do you think causes this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Experiencing tingling sensation in the arms while exercising could be possibly due to calcium and electrolyte deficiencies.
Kindly supplement yourself by taking Calcium medication in the form of surup or tablet and Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) regularly while you exercise.
You can also consume citrus fruit juices regularly. Drinking a glass of milk at bedtime will additionally supplement calcium.
Gradually, you will improve with your symptoms and it should subside.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
