What Causes Tingling Sensation In Left Foot And Arm When On Heart Medications?

My husband recently went on heart medication for tachycardia; however he isn t taking the medicine consistently. He has NO high risk factors and the cardiologist told him it s a nuisance not a risk. He forgets or only takes the medicine once per day instead of twice per day. Today he felt woozy and out of touch with his usual acuity and has had some tingling in his left foot and left arm. In addition he feels like his blood pressure is off, but his pulse is 69. Historically his health has been beyond perfect and has NEVER been sick for more tha. 24 hours for any reason. Help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The tingling sensation in foot and arm indicates possible alterations in his vital parameters of pulse and blood pressure from tachycardia medications.

I would request an Electrocardiogram report evaluation at an ER without any delay to look into the matter precisely without delay.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
