Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Arms And Diarrhea After Treating Shingles?
My husband is 58 yrs old, had the shingles a year and a half ago...has been feeling tingling in both arms lately and has acquired a cold lasting longer than 7 days. He also complains of stomach irritation...bloated and recently diarrhea . We have not been to his doctor, just wonder if he or we are worrying about nothing.
The tingling sensation in the arms indicate residual viral in the lymph nodes causing neuralgia. However, the diarrhea is seemingly related to viral or bacterial infection of the gut can be managed irrespective of arm tingling.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
