What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Arms And Jaw Soreness?
Hi. Yesterday I was opening a door and felt a sudden pulsating sensation throughout my body. I thought the door had electrocuted me. After my arms and went from tingling, to numb, to pain and my chest felt really tight. Tonight my jaw is very sore. I dont think I was actually electrocuted now. The more I think about it the more I think I just felt it.
There can be many cause for tingling sensation in the arms and jaw soreness usually in nerve like injured ,damage or diseased nerve or some times compressed nerve. These symptoms can also occur due to some medical condition involving nerves like diabetic neuropathy and multiple sclerosis. Treatment involve the treatment of underlying condition.
I would suggest you to consult oral maxillofacial surgeon/neurosurgeon without any delay for proper examination and to rule out serious conditions like stroke .Doctor may order MRI along with other test and treat it accordingly . For now start massage and physical therapy of jaw and arms .You can also start taking multivitamin supplements and stay calm.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
