What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Fingers Post Angiography Of The Hand?

I had an angiogram via right wrist 4 days ago. The first 2 days I had horrible swelling of my fingers, hand and wrist but since the swelling is gone. Tonight my fingers, wrist and arm are tingling with pain and I feel pain in the right side of chest. My results of the angio were spectacular. I have no plaque and everything is completely healthy (so That s amazing news). I would like to know if the above symptoms are normal?

Hi,

Well, there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in queries like a sign of nerve damage, repetitive stress, injuries, bacterial or viral infections, toxic exposures, and systemic diseases such as diabetes and peripheral neuropathy.

There can be other reasons also like nerve entrapment, carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve palsy, hormonal imbalances and vitamin deficiencies (vitamin B1. I would suggest you consult an orthopedic surgeon for proper examination.

The doctor may order a CT scan, ask for certain movements and complete blood tests.

The doctor may prescribe muscle relaxants, recommend physical therapy of arm and hand along with stretching exercises and recommend particular stretching exercises.
