What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Hands And Feet?

Looking for cause of following symptoms: tingling in hands and feet, rapid heart beat, high blood pressure, fatigue, feelings of muscle vibrations. I am a male, 69 yes old, presently being treated with monthly vitamin B12 shots. Have had these symptoms now 20 months with little improvement. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you also need to be evaluated for endocrine causes like sugar levels and thyroid functions monitoring. Electrolyte imbalance also needs to be ruled out.

Supplements for calcium, vitamin D3, B12 and folic acid needs to be continued. Levels should be monitored for treatment response. Cervical spine X-ray to rule out cervical spondylosis should be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
