What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Hands And Legs?

Hi- having tingling and discomfort in hands and legs (specifically in right leg today), rheumatologist suspects it is a side effect of Symponi 50 mg drug I have been having once a month, experienced dizziness, low energy etc also. Booked to see a neurologist in 2 weeks. Is there anything I should or should not be doing in the next two weeks until I see the neurologist? Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your condition is soo common as a neurological condition. It may be a peripheral neuropathy or a symptom of another systemic condition. You may need to do some lab tests like CBC , OGTT, serum calcium and vitamin B12 level. For now, you can take OTC pain medications like Aspirin or Paracetamol and vitamin B12 with folic acid supplementation with good diet rich in fresh vegetables especially, green leafy ones that would help for sure that's all for now.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahmmad Gamal
